Unfortunately the engineer forgot to turn on the fuel oil after checking the tank. So I was left with no heating or hot water. I turned on the fuel oil again but an airlock had formed and the boiler kept cutting out after a minute or so. The company were going to send someone the next day, but not until late in the afternoon. I persevered with resetting the boiler every few minutes and after a few hours it burst into life.
The engineer should have checked the system was working before departing. I would have thought this was a basic check.
