    I had the pleasure of hosting Steve as he tiled my ensuite in the style of a wet room. Working within a confined space, Steve delivered a fantastic result which i’m incredibly pleased with. Steve was courteous, quiet, clean and meticulous. I would use him again and cannot recommend him highly enough.

    Quick, high quality grouting repair

    Steve replaced some damaged grouting that was causing our shower to leak. The job was completed in a day, the leak has been fixed and Steve tidied up well afterwards. He kept us up to date throughout the day and let us know what he was doing.

    Steve carried out some fantastic work for us, laying a floor which we had been told by the suppliers required a significant amount of skill to get the effect we were looking for. His attention to detail and perfectionism, as mentioned in many of the other reviews, went above and beyond. He clearly wanted to put the time and effort in to make it perfect. We are really pleased and would recommend him to anyone.

    Really skilled with meticulous attention to detail

    I recently contacted Steve to fix some very poorly applied kitchen backsplash tiling that had been installed above our new countertops, and the difference is night and day. What was a messy, uneven finish has been completely transformed into a beautifully neat and professional result. Steve’s skill and meticulous attention to detail were genuinely impressive. He carefully corrected the problem areas and re-tiled where needed, taking real pride in getting everything just right. The finished result looks fantastic and we’re absolutely delighted with it. My name is Steve, I’m a sole trader with over 20 years experience in all aspects of wall and floor tiling. I began my tiling career in Australia in 2000. After backpacking the previous year I was offered a job and apprenticeship at Randwick college, Sydney. After returning to England in 2005 I set up Steve Johnsen Tiling. We are a small, friendly, family run business, who pride ourselves in attention to detail and producing a precise finish. I take enormous pride in my work and im continually striving to leave customers with a finished product they can be proud of.


I joined Checkatade in 2007 and have been consistently working in Walton on Thames, (where I live with my wife and two teenage girls ) Weybridge, Hersham, Molsey, Esher, and all other local areas within a 5 miles radius or so.


I have a full range of the tiling skill sets , that enable me to complete all aspects of wall and floor tiling. I undertake complete house remodelling projects to simple tile replacements. No project is to big or small. I am a one trade, professional tiler that has been working on his craft for over 20 years , improving year on year, and always striving for perfection.


I will always endeavour to arrive in a timely manner, clean, fresh and ready to work. At the start of the job, I always like to consult with my customers to discuss the job and listen to any potential ideas they might have regarding the project. I will sheet up around the house and try to keep noise and dust to a minimum and most importantly leave your house in the same condition as I found it.
