Be careful, they do not communicate every part of the job. They installed uPVC first windowsills without asking what style I would like. The work was completed to a really poor standard, so i requested this be corrected and they put wooden windowsills in. When they completed the work fully, they put in MDF and charged an extra £200 pounds. I feel this is really dodgy behaviour from their side and not good customer service. But they argue that MDF is what i asked for. In many emails I said wooden, not once did they say is MDF good enough. MDF and wood are not the same thing.
Response from Stay Warm Insulation Ltd
We are sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with the service. However, we would like to provide clarity on the situation.
From the beginning, uPVC window sills were the standard installation. When you requested a change, we offered two options: redoing them in uPVC or upgrading to a wooden finish, which you acknowledged would incur an additional charge. We installed moisture-resistant MDF, a commonly used and durable option for window sills, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
This project was extensively delayed due to multiple revisions and changes along the way. We remained patient and cooperative throughout, committed to ensuring the job was completed to a high standard despite the challenges. Payment was also significantly delayed, yet we continued to work in good faith.
We always aim for transparency and customer satisfaction, offering solutions when concerns are raised. Our goal is to complete every job to the highest standard, and we encourage open communication to resolve any issues.
