The man who came to clean my ovens had virtually no English, arrived on foot and his equipment consisted of a roll of kitchen paper, a toxic smelling spray and wire wool. He asked for a black sack and used my washing up bowl and sink. He worked hard and eventually got both ovens very clean. He then left, on foot on a v hot day. I am still finding bits of wire wool and black bits around the kitchen so washed the floor and sink to get rid of them. I assume this man is a recent immigrant who was glad to get work but also assume he was paid a fraction of the £149 I was charged.
