  Strip and plaster a room

  Connor and the team stripped and plastered my box room. Turned up when they said they would, finished on time and left the house very clean afterwards. Great price and will definitely use again.

  A quality plasterer

  If you are looking for a great plasterer look no further. Great communication, texting us the night before to confirm he would be attending as agreed. He arrived the next morning on time and got straight to work. All floors were covered prior to work commencing. The quality of finish is very high and sets the standard for other plasterers to achieve. Conor takes pride in his work and is a credit to his trade and his colleague follows that lead.I have no hesitation in recommending this company and I will be employing them again without doubt.

  Connor and his team did a great job on our extension and the re-plastering of our hall landing and stairs. Very professional and worked within awkward timescales due to other trades on site. This allowed us to get the house ready for Christmas which was a real bonus. I am really pleased with the finish and will be using SL Plastering to screed the outside of the house in the New Year. Highly recommended

  Nice guys but very poor finish.

  Now keep in mind the walls were not in a great condition to start with. But that being said the finish on this work is terrible. The guys were really pleasant to deal with, but while the work was happening I had 2 red flags - they did the ceilings after the walls (hence splashes everywhere) and they wanted to apply filler to wet plaster to smooth it out (which would have sucked the moisture from the filler and fallen out). The result is a very poorly done room, the plaster is blown in multiple places, its cracking and the ceiling is starting to bubble only 1 week later.

  Hi Imogen, Thank you for your feedback. Prior to starting, we advised that the existing wallpaper should be removed due to the condition of the walls and the risks of skimming over it. You instructed us to proceed over the wallpaper to keep within budget and avoid further preparation. We also reduced the agreed price and completed additional work outside the original scope as a goodwill gesture. Background condition significantly affects the final finish, however we’re happy to revisit and discuss any reasonable next steps.

  S.L plastering offered a great price for the amount of work. I have a new 40m2 extension which has a pitched roof, everything was boarded and beaded inc the old kitchen side around 12m2 it took the guys 2 days to complete and is now completely dry. Minimal sanded was needed only due to the odd splash and that was it, the walls and ceilings have a great finish to them, will be using S.L again when the time comes. Cheers.

  I really don’t know what we would have done without Connor and his team, he was only supposed to plaster a few rooms, but he became a vital part of our reno. Nothing was ever too much trouble, we added multiple jobs and it was never an issue, and they always worked with our tight deadlines. Great workmanship and also gave us loads of good advice. Would definitely use again
