Had the batteries go in my wife’s star lift and she wouldn’t use it in case it broke down I needed a local company to come out quick and Southdown stairlifts were fantastic managed to come out that day replace the batteries and did a service will definitely be using again The engineer was polite and efficient

Arrived as scheduled, and got right down to work which was executed efficiently and effectively. Corrected a small problem and demonstrated that it had been done.

Changed date and time at start. Arrived 15/2/25 late with no apology. Work took hours longer than stated. Have chased up the expected return visit for checking of equipment more than once and still waiting for someone to make contact and come back over a month later despite promises. Very disappointed in the service provided

Excellent Service; an appropriate pre-owned stairlift was installed within 3 days of our first contact and 24 hours after ordering. Working with a local and smaller company with experienced staff made the difference in our choice. The price was competitive and fair, with the possibility of returning it if not accepted by the user for the price less the installation hours.

I contacted Southdown Stairlifts Ltd while my mother was awaiting discharge from hospital after a fall. They responded very quickly both to my initial enquiry and with a visit a couple of days later. Once I placed an order for supply and installation of a stairlift at short notice, they kept to the date agreed and completed the work same day, promptly and professionally. My mother finds the stairlift simple to operate and it has quickly become indispensable. I am happy to recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

A really professional company, very efficient, (fitted the day after quotation), very good value for money and they will even pay part of the purchase price and remove it when no longer required. Cannot recommend Hugh and the team more highly! Steve
