In Dec.2025, I had a battery installation by Matt from South Coast Energy to augment my Solar panels set-up. This was at least the 3rd, if not 4th time Matt has helped me , and the whole job from consideration through planning to fitting into a much modified old cottage, was carried out in his customary careful and considerate manner. I would not hesitate to recommend this very delightful, professional, and practical electrician.

Good response time and clear survey report (EICR) on the condition of the electrical circuits of the property we are in the process of buying

Our solar panel inverter had seemingly decided to give up the ghost and so we turned to Checkatrade to find a local engineer to c check out the problem. South Coast Energy was highly rated and so we turned to them for a diagnostics check. Matt confirmed that our inverter was indeed dead and recommended an equal but more efficient alternative to what was originally installed. The work was subsequently performed quickly, efficiently and cleanly. Matt is very personable and because of his efforts we are again generating - thoroughly recommend.

South Coast Energy installed a solar panel and battery system, and an EV charger in October 2025. The quality of their workmanship was exceptional, and they kindly took the time to help us understand how to work the new system, which we are very happy with. They are knowledgeable and very helpful and I would highly recommend their services. It was great to use a local company for this installation.

Exceptional. Matt is my go-to electrician for my rental property, having completed an EICR at the beginning of the year and regular maintenance since. Highly recommend! He’s always willing to support with ad hoc requests.
