Our solar panel inverter had seemingly decided to give up the ghost and so we turned to Checkatrade to find a local engineer to c check out the problem. South Coast Energy was highly rated and so we turned to them for a diagnostics check. Matt confirmed that our inverter was indeed dead and recommended an equal but more efficient alternative to what was originally installed. The work was subsequently performed quickly, efficiently and cleanly. Matt is very personable and because of his efforts we are again generating - thoroughly recommend.

South Coast Energy installed a solar panel and battery system, and an EV charger in October 2025. The quality of their workmanship was exceptional, and they kindly took the time to help us understand how to work the new system, which we are very happy with. They are knowledgeable and very helpful and I would highly recommend their services. It was great to use a local company for this installation.

Exceptional. Matt is my go-to electrician for my rental property, having completed an EICR at the beginning of the year and regular maintenance since. Highly recommend! He’s always willing to support with ad hoc requests.

Matt did a fantastic job quoting and installing our EV charging point. From start to finish he was friendly, professional, and responsive. His workmanship was top-notch, and he took real care to keep the area tidy throughout the installation. Matt and his lad fitted panels, the second house he's put them on for me, in the pouring rain with more smiles than I thought possible. Can't fault his knowledge, it took me 7 fitters quoting to find him, ( 1 even suggested I cut the stink pipe in line with my bedroom window so it didn't shade the panels, eeww no to that one :) gave me some free info on my fuse box too. I have complete confidence in him, not something I say easily, esp being a single older woman. I'll be using him when I move again hopefully to my forever home :) Also moved some roof tiles and fitted a hob.

Had an excellent experience with Matt installing my EV Ohme charger. He was really helpful before the installation, answering all my questions. On the day, he arrived on time, worked carefully and professionally, kept everything tidy with hardly any mess, and completed the job exactly as planned. The installation is neat and high-quality, and the certificates were sent over promptly. Highly recommended.
