  We recently had External Wall Insulation installed by Smith Plastering, and we are absolutely thrilled with the results! From the very beginning, we spoke with Ronan, who was incredibly helpful and informative, guiding us through the whole process. The team was punctual, professional, and worked efficiently. The weather meant that we had to delay the start date, but we couldn’t be happier with the service we received and highly recommend Smith Plastering to anyone looking for top-quality EWI installation.   Replacement of thermal insulation and render on three-storey house flank wall

  This was a large insulation and render job, removing and replacing an old failed installation across the external flank wall of a three-storey property. Ronan was a pleasure to work with and provided realistic information about the work and its cost. His team just got on with it: they worked quickly and efficiently in pretty unpleasant weather. The job was done faster than I’d anticipated and the result looks great. It’s a big relief to have a long-term guarantee of both materials and workmanship. I’m confident I’ll not need to do this job again: but if I did, I’d call on Ronan to do it.

  Smith plastering did a great job transforming the look of my property. They fitted external wall insulation and silicone rendered finish to give my property an updated no maintenance finish, it looks fantastic and will be recommending Ronan.

  External wall insulation

  The following issues marred what could have been a better job. The windows should have been masked and paved areas sheeted prior to rendering. This would have avoided the extensive cleaning required at the end (only partly successful on the paving). Work supervision and inspection was sporadic and I had to point out small areas of missing render and top coat (and there is now a wasps nest in one gap to the soffit). A section of cement board should have been trimmed but was forgotten.
