I contacted Smith Contracts for an emergency electrician due to an intermittent power fault and they arrived extremely quickly and got straight to work. Within a short amount of time they had found the cause and repaired it, despite how awkward it was to find and get to. Martin also gave me useful feedback and recommendations to help prevent any future issues. Absolutely fantastic service and can't recommend highly enough. I'll be coming back anytime I have more electric work.

An electrical fault at home resulted in RCD tripping intermittently. I looked up emergency electricians on Checkatrade, with little hope that I would find someone available on a Sunday. Smith contracts had good reviews, and I decided to call the listed number. Martin replied and after describing the issue and answering some questions, he came round within 1.5h. He ran thorough checks on the fusebox, supply and rings, pinpointed a fault with the gas boiler and also found a faulty RCD. Martin provides exceptional service, is very professional and friendly. I strongly recommend him. Thank you!

I first met Martin from Smith’s contracts when he came out on an emergency basis to deal with a broken cooker point. I have since used Martin for a variety of jobs including installation of extractor fans, re-fitting of ceiling lights, and the installation of a new fire. These jobs weren’t straightforward but Martin and his team did a superb job. Martin is friendly, reliable, trustworthy, competitively priced and he does not cut corners. He is a tidy worker who clears up afterwards. I will without doubt use Martin for my next electrical jobs and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

My bathroom had a condensation problem, so I contacted Smith Contracts to see if they could help. I had a fan installed, the fan is fantastic! The boys were so helpful, incredibly tidy, clean and professional. Thank you again.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but the work and professionalism was excellent so had to! We had Pete carry out the work and Martin was prompt in arranging a date for us. Such lovely people who were careful, diligent and professional. So knowledgeable on so many areas and happy to answer any questions I had. He kept the work area clean and was thorough with everything he did. When I enquired about additional work of sinking the plug sockets into the wall it was no trouble. Such lovely people. My electrician for life! Thank you.
