    We wanted a new patio, S.M. Contractors was the first to send in a quote, they had visited our home measured up and provided us with a detailed explanation of what would be required. Their approach provided us with confidence so decided to go with Sean and S.M. Contractors. From the 1st day they arrived on time just before 8 am and did not stop until just after 5pm. The guys working on site were very polite and level of workmanship did not disappoint. The job was completed with in the agreed period. Well done 👏. I would recommend S.M. Contractors (Essex)

    Excellent service and good end result

    S M laid our new patio at short notice with minimal disruption. Very friendly workers who worked very hard to complete the job in less than two days. Finished patio exceeded our expectations. This is the second time we have used S M and have no hesitation in recommending them.

    Quick hard workers

    Seans team came to block pave our driveway ( 4 cars) and put up some concrete fence posts and gravel boards in the garden. They arrived on a friday morning worked hard all day and completed the work Saturday afternoon. The work was completed to a good finish and the workers tidied as they went and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving i would recommend them.

S.M. Contractors (Essex) Ltd is a family run business based in Braintree, Essex. We undertake works in all of North Essex, South Suffolk and East Herts on a daily basis. We were incorporated as in limited company in 2012 but have been trading as a family business for over 20 years.


Driveways, Patios & Landscaping.

We have a skilled, experienced and friendly team undertaking all aspects of hard landscaping and driveways on a daily basis. We have our own machinery and plant so no need to hire in expensive machines or skip hire. We specialise in domestic driveways - skilled in block paving, tarmac, tar and chip and many other finishes.
