Smart-Fencing’s slogan: “Don’t settle for anything less,” yet Nelson expected me to settle for much less. Fence posts weren’t plumb, concrete gravel boards were not bedded in, a gate post was warped, and the fence edge was braced with scraps. They didn’t backfill properly and left a mess I had to argue to get cleaned. When I raised concerns, Nelson said, “I don’t have time for this!” and demanded immediate payment which was £300 more than the initial quote due to his own incompetence. I had to fix the mess myself, which cost me more money on top. Avoid this company.

We recently had a fence installed by Smart Fencing and couldn’t be happier with the result. From start to finish, Nelson and team was professional, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. They did a fantastic job on the installation and made sure everything was tidy afterwards, even taking all the waste away. Phil was also great to work with – a clear and prompt communicator who kept us informed at every step. Quotes, invoices, and all relevant information were sent through quickly and clearly, making the whole process smooth and stress-free.

Communication throughout was thorough, timely and professional. Job done to a very high standard and very efficiently, arrived around 9 and finished in less than a full day. Reasonable price for the quality of work. Will go to Nelson if we have similar needs in future.

We spoke to a number of companies before finding Smart Fencing. Nelson came out and gave us a quote the same day, which was very reasonably priced. He managed to squeeze us in, and the work was completed just 9 days later! The job was done to a high standard; neat, tidy, and exactly what we wanted. The team were professional, punctual, and easy to deal with throughout. Would definitely recommend Smart Fencing to anyone looking for quality work and reliable service.

The workshop measures 14' x 10', excellent build quality using 3"x 2" framing clad with 3/4" tongue and groove boards. The roof and floor are solid timber. NO OSB or cheap plywood in sight! The work was carried out quickly and cleanly. (even though it was raining when the base was constructed!) I would thoroughly recommend Nelson and his team in future. I'm very happy with the work he did for me. ( even though I'm a fussy retired builder! )
