  Bathroom ceiling and shower repairs

  We had a ceiling with pealing paint and a shower that leaked. Richie fixed our leaking shower with good knowledge of what the problem would be and how to solve it, which he did openly and honestly giving us the best options available. The ceiling work was done amazingly well, it looks so good! We have a different bathroom now. Richie had all the tools and skills, he is very polite, friendly, makes you feel at ease and is happy to explain anything to you. I will not hesitate to give Richie a call the next time we need something fixing in our house.

  Bathroom carpet fitted, floor levelled.

  Richie is a very kind, friendly and helpful person. His timekeeping let him down because he was juggling too many other jobs at the same time as doing mine. I'm not sure he was entirely comfortable or had much previous experience with some of the jobs I requested him to do. That's my fault, I should have queried this before the work began. But Richie gave it his best shot anyway - kudos to him. I would hire him again - for the right job that showcases his specialist areas of expertise.

  I wish you had told me this before I left instead of cutting off all communications, going only through CheckaTrade, all when you received the invoice, it ‘felt’ like it was planned. You were fully aware that there was an issue with the self-level, I worked extra days rectifying the issue (free charge) and discounted the material, hence working between jobs, plus you added jobs as I went along (which, take time). I fitted you in where I could (fixing the issues and the extra jobs), to make sure you received the best service I could possibly provide, even though you provided me with cheap (own shop brand) paint and a lino 6 years old from your garage to lay. Not once did I complain but thank you for your kind words as it shows I strived to achieve my best for you (I’m a handyman-jack of all, master of none), with that in mind please contact another trade person regarding future work. My kind regards….. NB. You wanted a carpeter, painter & decorator and a plumber, choosing a handy-person to do all. My all in cost was cheaper than the labour alone for the aforementioned..!!

  Internal door fittings x 3

  A***** service, could not fault the work carried out by SL Renovations. From initial contact to end of work carried out, Richie was professional, courteous and honest. I required three internal doors with fittings and locks to which all were different sizes and shapes, Richie was extremely reliable and a pleasure to talk to, showed up following first contact to measure, provided an honest date to which he could get the work done and stayed in contact with me throughout. The work carried out was done to an extremely high standard and I will no doubt be using SL R again. Recommended to all!!
