  Nowadays it seems to get worse when searching for materials. we only knew the exact measurements when everything was uncovered. Ian was very resourceful and gave me ideas how to do it and even got the materials for me. So if you don't know what surprises your house might have or simply need any building work done, he is the man. With every tradesman it is always a good idea to check in detail the written quote from the oral quote if you have one on the day of the visit.

  Renovations throughout the house

  Ian and Derek carried out work throughout the house including fitting internal doors, skirting, architraves, bannister and spindles, laminate flooring and painting throughout. They refurbished our living room and worked hard to get us back in as early as possible. Their plumber fitted 3 radiators and quickly sorted a problem he found in the loft. They are friendly, hardworking and trustworthy and no job was too big or too small. Ian had lots of helpful suggestions which have made such a difference. We are now enjoying some wonderful bifold doors. The work carried out has made a huge difference

  Full house renovation

  We engaged Ian and his team of preferred suppliers to complete a top to bottom renovation of our 5-bed Victorian house. The project involved replumbing, rewiring, new kitchen, bathrooms, utility and redecoration throughout. Ian did a great job coordinating all the different trades (electricians, plumbers, roofer, window fitters, tilers etc.) to ensure he was able to keep things ticking over. Given the age of our property, there were a variety of issues that arose over the course of the reno that Ian came up with creative solutions for, to produce an outcome that we are really delighted with!

  Bathroom refit +internal partition and door

  Sigma/Ian truly helped us out on a bathroom renovation (after another builder let us down having started the project). This involved stripping out most of what had been done - tiling and plumbing, to a low standard - and starting the project anew. Plumbing, tiling (some of it quite fiddly), flooring, brickwork, insulation, electrics, shower pump, replacement of window at smaller size, etc.! I appreciated the excellent plastering, with no “join” showing where the new plaster met the old. If I have more building works, I’ll first go to Sigma. And yes, came in on time, and at quoted cost.
