  Renovation plastering

  Quality is good but work not finished & mislead on price we were given a price after a site visit he invoiced every few days & chased for payment. He pulled on heart strings, as it was xmas time we paid invoices as he went which was a mistake. The last invoice took the total to the agreed price & he said there is a day of work left & he would be back, we paid in good faith. After xmas, we couldn't reach him. we got a text "somethings come up, find someone else to finish". no refund for the unfinished work. He has ran off with our money without finishing. A shame as we would have used him agai

  When the site visit was carried out it was made clear that it would be a minimum of 16 days. It was hard to gauge exactly as the site was in a mess from where the other plasterer had walked off! Amazingly, with hard work and long days we managed to achieve the 16. There was one extra day required due to additional bonding work which was not discussed on the original schedule, the builder made it very clear that he would not pay us for this as he wanted it included in the 16 days - even though it was extra! During the work we found out that the other plasterer walked off due to payment issues and it became increasingly difficult to get paid which is why we had to keep chasing. He even said that he was 'living off savings' and that was the reason for the delayed payments. To be clear we have not been paid anything that we did not work for, he is trying to get a freebie - this builder has a history of mistreating and not paying workers and will be avoiding at all costs and will advise others the same!

  Walls and ceiling plastering

  We have used Shaws Plastering on our front room and dining room walls and re surfaced our front room ceiling and new coving. The completed job was amazing, clean and tidy. When we first met him to get a quote he was very friendly, professional and efficient when informing us with costs. We would highly recommend and will be using him again in the future if needed.
