    Extension, garage conversion and fitted kitchen

    Simon and his team have completed our extension and garage conversion as well as fitting our new kitchen. We are more than pleased with the result. All the team were very friendly, professional and hardworking, they kept the place clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble even when I asked for a few extra things to be done. Simon kept us informed every stage of the build and let us know when each trade would be attending. I would certainly call Simon and his team if we ever needed any future jobs doing and would not hesitate in recommending them.

    Difficult to reach

    SDM built our double-storey extension and replaced all the plumbing and electrics. They are a genuine family-run business. Structural work was done well. Communication and internal design execution were poor. I had to manage many aspects myself, constantly chasing Simon and keeping track of tasks. Despite sharing plans and working from home, it was hard to get things done as expected. Simon rarely replies to calls or messages, and delays are common. The project started in April 2024, and by Sept 2025, some works is still incomplete.

    I was surprised by the review left. The whole job went very well as fer as I was concerned considering the circumstances that occurred through out the job. From the day we started the consumer started changing things once they where done . This carried on through out the job. There where also a lot of extras added on that the costumer asked me to do . As the job went on they started supplying the sanitary ware and other items. If they weren't broken they were wrong.This added time onto the job.There was also a communication barrier due to the customer's English. On top of all this half way through the job my plumber and good friend passed away suddenly. I had to find another plumber to pick up from where it was left. I have a very good reputation throughout the local area and I wont let this one off review ruin it.

    Full roof Extension to replace a conservatory.

    Professionalism demonstrated throughout the build all trades were polite & hard working. We would definitely use them again & have no hesitation in recommending SDM Builders.

    Single Storey Extension

    Simon, Dan, and the team were great - very professional and easy to communicate with throughout the build. Nothing was too much trouble, and they were happy to take on extra bits of work as things came up. We’re very happy with the end results and would highly recommend them!

    Conservatory down extension up

    Simon gave us a very competitive quote, when work started Simon kept us informed the whole way, answering all our questions we had albeit big for us but the norm for Simon and his friendly team, they were so hard working and kept the place clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend him and his team and already have passed his name to neighbours who have knocked on the door and have had a look at their work Would definitely call the team in again for any jobs big or small in the future
