  Replace lost roofing tiles and cement top of chimney.

  I found Sean's details from a notice on Nextdoor and phoned him in the morning. He came round later that morning to have a look at what was needed to be done including repairing the top of the chimney and gave me a quote which we accepted. He was booked in to come on the following Saturday but came the day after as he was waiting for materials on another job. He replaced quite a few tiles and fixed the chimney and showed me photos of the work done. All in all we are very happy with the work done and Sean came over as a very pleasant chap with a good work ethos.

  Reroofing entire roof and installing 2 roof windows.

  Sean was very good when he came to quote. He explained things clearly when talking about the works required. What was going to be done and how long the works would take was also explained clearly. Works were done efficiently and as per time frame. A repair to the junction between the pitch roof and flat roof of new extension was required and this was effected and now do not have water leaking in to the new extension. Cost was also as quoted with no nasty surprises. Snagging carried out promptly. Have had a couple of heavy downpours since works complete and happy to say all dry.

  Remove chimney vent and put new cap on.

  Take out damaged bird guards from under roof tiles, replace with new. Removed squirrel nest.

  Replace lead valley

  Work undertaken was in no way satisfactory. We were left with holes to the valley/roof resulting in serious leaks and internal damage to the property. Slates broken and not laid and secured properly, no lead saddle was installed to the top of valley, as is standard practice and mortar was soft and badly done. Extended an opportunity for Saxon to remedy, which was not successful. Too nervous to allow the work to be attempted for a third time, as it was clear from independent advice that it was not done competently. Refused a refund of the £1,000 paid and now resorting to small claims. Avoid.
