Sent a text on the day saying he didn't realise it was double yellow lines outside house. I said he could unload and i'd show him where to park, resident parking. Sent a text said he wasn't leaving the van and he was off. I was gobsmacked, no compromise, no conversation - all done by text. Lots of other work being done in house inc structural. The decorator had been pushed back so doors could be fitted. I appreciate it was his choice to leave but he could have checked all this before taking the job. Found a carpenter who had no problem doing the work.
