The work itself was completed as agreed, but unfortunately the pricing was not transparent. I was quoted £189 through Checkatrade, with no mention that VAT would be added on top. After the collection was completed, I received an invoice for £226.80 (£189 + VAT). When I queried this, I was told that £189 was “their price” and VAT was added because an invoice was issued, with reference also made to paying cash on collection. As a consumer, I would expect a quoted price to clearly state whether VAT is included or excluded before agreeing to the work. I paid the full £226.80, but I think the pr

Very efficient and professional. The whole process took less than 24hrs from me posting the job to completion

Communication from the start was excellent. The tradesmen on the day were polite and professional and left the garden clean and tidy. The only reason for knocking off one point is because they weren't able to make it on the original agreed date, and had to postpone. However, they were very apologetic and communicated well. I would definitely use their services again, and would highly recommend.
