RB Fencing fitted 4 new fence panels and 2 new fence posts at my property as per their quote. I clearly needed a 3rd post which was missed in their survey. I withheld 20% of the invoice cost, and informed RB that the balance would be paid on resolution of my query, at no point did I refuse to pay. I would have been happy to pay for a 3rd post and get the job finished properly at the time. I'm left with a rotten post between 2 new panels. RB have made no attempt to resolve my query, they are only interested in being fully paid for a sub standard job and are now sending threatening letters.

It is unfortunate that our customer has chosen to post incorrect information regarding the work RB Fencing Ltd has provided. Our surveyor visited site to undertake a quotation for the work and was instructed by the customer that she wanted 4 new panels and two new posts and this was all as she was selling the house. Our quote was accepted but requested to pay cash. We advised we do not accept cash. Team arrived to do the work and the customer met them at 8am, at this time told them she had found another post that needed doing and could they add onto their work for free? They advised her they couldn't do this and she should call our surveyor to discuss and gave her his number, no call was received. We sent our invoice for the work done but although all the work quoted for had been completed (and our customer admits this). We have followed our payment policy set out in our T&C's to try and recover the 20% owing. We try our very best on every job but sadly this time there seems to have been a drive by the customer to not pay 20%.
