The engineer Bek came out on bank holiday weekend. He answered my message straight away and was happy to come out on Easter Sunday!… He didn’t charge me extra for being a Sunday let alone a bank holiday. I was impressed with his integrity. In fact he had to come back the next day so he could buy new handle as shops were closed. No extra charge for having to come another day! He was very polite and professional. He did a great job and also fixed another door as it was not aligned properly and the key wasn’t working .. no extra charge!. It’s rare to find craftsman like this! Extremely disappointed. Quoted £49 to fix a lock from a photo, with no mention of extra costs. Without confirming with me, they carried out additional work at a cost of £179. When I asked for a breakdown, I was told £120 was for a lock I found online for under £7. When I raised this, the tone turned defensive and aggressive and I was told "this is from a certified locksmith shop. I gave them the chance to offer a partial refund on the markup to rectify, but they refused. Hi so sorry but Before proceeding the job I called you couple of times but you didn’t answer the phone.Lock was completely jammed and broken.Tenants wanted me to change it.Price for removing jammed lock and for brand new lock was reasonable £179 Thanks!
