Agreed £119.80 by phone to unblock the drain, including call-out, plus a free full CCTV survey, written report and relining quote. The operative spent about 30 minutes chatting before opening the van, took several calls and later demanded about £479 while my wife was home alone. After challenge, he wrote £239.60, then accepted £119.80 before I returned. He said that if we took the matter forward, VAT would be added to the charge, which felt like pressure not to complain.
