Great job and decent guy

I couldn’t recommend Simon highly enough! After a really stressful experience with a previous painter who left my house unfinished and used the wrong paint, I was naturally quite nervous about hiring someone else. Simon completely put my mind at ease from day one. ​His communication was brilliant throughout, he constantly kept me updated on progress and gave great advice on the exact paints to use for a durable, long-lasting finish. He went completely above and beyond, happily helping with extra bits like fitting a kitchen splashback, sorting new skirting, and offering really practical advice along the way. ​I had several other trades in and out at the same time, and Simon was incredibly patient and flexible, working around everyone else’s schedules without any fuss. He even came back after the carpet fitters caused a bit of damage to the walls just to do some touch-ups and make sure everything looked perfect. ​On top of the fantastic standard of work, he is just a genuinely lovely, reliable guy to have around. If you're looking for a skilled, conscientious decorator, Simon is your man!

Simon completed a bedroom in one day and to a very high standard, there’s nothing quite like having a room professionally plastered to get the perfect finish! He also gave me advice on how to fix a dodgy ceiling as opposed to just covering it with plaster and having to redo it again later, saving time and money! He left the room clean and tidy, was bang on time and kept me updated throughout the day. What a great guy and amazing job done! I will be using pure plastering for the rest of the rooms in my house. Simon is just about the most helpful guy I have ever let into my house. We got more than just a superb plastering and paint job. We got solid advice from him……he’s an honest bloke.

We recently had our kitchen ceiling redone after a leak from the bathroom above, and Simon’s Pure Plastering was excellent once again. This is the second time we’ve used Simon and, as always, he provided a very fair quote and was incredibly patient throughout the lengthy insurance process. Superb workmanship, courteous service and an immaculate finish. In a world full of cowboys, it’s reassuring to have found a plasterer we trust completely.
