We arrived at this property to unblock the kitchen sink and discovered that the outlet of the trap (grey on the left) was a “Euro” 36mm installation, and sloped 8º upwards (adverse fall) to the outlet through the wall almost 300mm higher than the trap !! The existing outlet was within the wall cavity.. We drilled a new hole through the wall, sleeved the pipe and installed the outlet of the trap directly through the wall, with a new connection to the external gully, all in 40mm pipe. We also discovered that the leaky trap on a bathroom sink also had an upwards slope..
