This property had bad sewer-like smells in an office. Once the box section was removed, we found the SVP within was causing these smells. A CCTV survey from outside confirmed that the 90º rest bend at the base of the SVP had dropped, as well as broken on the top socket (where uPVC had been connected to the old VC below), causing the smells. Once excavating, we discovered that the concrete floor had been strengthened with chicken wire! There was also a void beneath, caused by damp ingress. We installed new uPVC and re-instated the concrete floor.
