Shower replaced but EICR thankfully not carried out

I used this company to replace an electric shower in a rental flat as my regular electrician doesn't do showers. My tenant was happy with the shower. I then discussed having an EICR carried out as required for rental properties. Sam insisted I needed a new consumer unit to pass the EICR and quoted £500 to replace it, having seen it when fitting the shower. I decided to get another opinion from my regular electrician, and Sam then went very quiet. My regular electrician passed the consumer unit without any issue. I will never use this company again as in my experience they are looking for work.
