  Replaced front door

  The new door unit itself is fine, and was fit quickly, all locks work as expected etc. However, they fit the door closer on the front of the door as opposed to the inside without consulting, as I had a shelf in the way. However, if they would have just asked, I could have removed the 2 screws in the shelf in 30 seconds. As they didn’t ask, I now have a front door I don’t aesthetically like. I asked for an FD30s standard door, there’s a gap of 7mm at the bottom. Platinum Fire Doors have told me that’s sufficient for regs, it’s still a larger gap than I’d expect,there’s a draft under the door.

  2 X internal firedoor installation

  Ryan was incredibly helpful and organised-he made coordinating everything so easy. Lucas, the installer, did an amazing job; he took real time to get it perfect, shared loads of useful tips, replaced one door that day, then came back the next to fix the frame and second door. All seamlessly sorted, we're thrilled with how it turned out, plus we got a certificate confirming it met regulations. Ten out of ten-would recommend!
