  Amazing emergency customer service

  Paul from PJ Sweeps came to our rescue as a bird had somehow fell down our chimney and got trapped above our log burner. We had limited time as we’re going away the following morning. I found Paul through checkatrade and gave him a call. He said he’d pop over to have a look and wouldn’t charge me a call out fee but if some work was involved he’d charge me something then. He spent an hour cleaning out our log burner and then dismantled a plate, caught the bird (who was very relieved) which flew off. He only charged me £30 for his time which i was very very happy with. Will 100% use Paul agai

  Log Burner and Flue Annual Clean

  Paul from P J Sweeps undertook an annual clean of our log burner and flue. This was the first time we had had our log burner and flue cleaned and also the first time we had used P J Sweeps. I can thoroughly recommend them. Paul was very thorough - he took time to explain what he was doing and why. He worked extremely cleanly, covering all the furniture with dust sheets and ensured once he had finished that everywhere was left, probably cleaner, than when he started!! He checked our smoke alarms and CO2 alarms and issued us with a certificate of compliance.

  Open fire sweep, check and smoke test

  Paul did an incredibly thorough and professional job, starting with a full inspection of the flue and smoke evacuation test before doing a full sweep of the chimney stack. He gave us lots of great advice and information about this type of house (we recently moved in and learned a lot that wasn’t included in our survey). Before leaving he even checked the ventilation around the adjoining cellar, advising us to upgrade our ancient carbon monoxide alarms. I would highly recommend PJ Sweeps for anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable expert to inspect and sweep their fireplace
