We have a 4 year old dresser unit in the kitchen which has a small shelf but we had always avoided putting anything on it because the wood had not been treated properly. They were two ring marks that needed removing, a small nick in the wood that needed filling and a proper varnish needed to be applied. The service we got from Phil was excellent. He was friendly, knowledgeable and did a brilliant job. I only wish we had contacted him four years ago!

Really happy with the magic Phil has performed on a set of tables that are of high sentimental value but that needed a bit of tlc. Phil removed all the watermarks and scuffs and returned them looking perfect (see before and after photos below) for us to keep for another 50 years+ Would recommend Phil’s services

Phil did an awesome job to refurbish this danish rosewood table - the main table had lightened significantly compared to the extension leaves so needed to be stripped back, resealed and varnished. And he also talked me through the options at each stage of the work with sensible advice on how dark/light to colour; how glossy or not to go. Highly reliable and helpful service from Phil who is obviously a highly experienced professional in his field. His advice was spot on as to what we needed and what he would do when; he was punctual and took great care to make as little mess as possible whilst undertaking the works. We were highly pleased with both the finished front floor and oak parquet door and would certainly use him again!

Two rooms required sanding and cleaning before applying two coats of varnish leaving the floors in excellent condition and ready for use 24 hours after completion. The efficient use of high quality equipment left a minimum of dust and throughout the project the premises were always clean and tidy. The quality of work was excellent and undertaken in a very professional way in every aspect including timekeeping and relating progress of the job. The rooms were left in perfect condition and ready for use. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending PD French polishing for future work.

Phil did a fantastic job of French polishing the handrail of my staircase and also an old table. They both look completely transformed. He is very professional and friendly. Highly recommended.
