Contacted PC Repair and on the same day started sorting the problem which I believe was a scam from a virus software provider that had infected my laptop and planted some form of trojan. PC Repair down loaded all my data, wiped the machine and then reloaded software and data ready for collection the next day. AND EVERYTHING WORKED! Finally had peace of mind.
