Started off well, quick response to the job which was posted on Checkatrade (this being of of the three builders selected by Checkatrade for the job). After a couple of conversations all seemed to be going well until 6pm the night before the next day 10am appointment receive Whatsapp messages informing me they can’t attend as Insurance jobs require £500 up front for the initial survey which is then taken off the cost of the job should the work be awarded to them. This caused me a lot of inconvenience especially given I was due to be on leave the evening of the cancelled appointment.

We are very apologetic on the outcome of this matter, however we have made it clear on our services offered that insurance related projects are not covered and this was not clarified on the project details, which is not the clients responsibility. We nevertheless have different T&C's for insurance-based projects which was explained to the client.
Again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused here, but we have tried to be transparent on out terms and did not refuse to attend at the time agreed.
