  Remedial electrical work including installation of electric oven

  We recently had Carlos in to carry out some remedial electrical work and to install a new electric oven. He was incredibly professional throughout — punctual, tidy, and clearly knowledgeable. He was also very flexible in fitting around our schedule, which made the whole process much easier. The work was completed to a high standard and at a very reasonable cost. We’d happily recommend Carlos to others and will definitely be in touch for any future electrical jobs.

  Reliable and honest

  Once the initial contact was made it was very easy communicating with Carlos. He explained clearly what works were needed and also sent a very detailed EICR report as well as a quote for the remedial work. The work was completed on 22/5/25 and I received the Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) and the Building Regulations Compliance Certificate the following day. I will definitely use their services again and I highly recommend Carlos and his company New- Gen Sparks to anyone looking for a reliable and honest electrician.

  Consumer Unit Installation, Faultfinding and EIC

  Carlos at New Gen was fantastic. I don’t usually leave reviews but had to as he was so good. We needed some work done at our house at very short notice in order for it to pass its EIC so we could sell it. He worked tirelessly for two days straight and kept us informed every step of the way. Would absolutely recommend and will be calling on him again for any electrical work that might be needed in our new home! Friendly, prompt and professional.

  Kitchen socket fitted - like new

  I had noted there had been a problem with the faulty double socket in our kitchen. After filling in the details from the Checkatrade website, Carlos had immediately contacted me and arranged a visit to inspect the property, and to replace it with a new kitchen socket. He arrived on time, having regularly providing updates with me. Carlos was able to identify a similar replacement socket which was available for him to install. He is courteous and polite when explaining the issue and the service was done promptly and quickly. Overall - an excellent job.

  Changing of a light/ fitting a smart Switch

  From the very beginning Carlos was extremely helpful, guiding us on what parts we needed to complete the job, even taking the time out to call to make sure we understood what was required, this he done without even having secured the job. On the day he was punctual, and even as the job grew and changed (an old house will do that) he was good mannered and communicative. You'll feel that Carlos cares about the job and getting it done correctly for you. Would recommend, and I will be using again!!
