    Range of bathroom work

    Posted 02 May

Phil is an absolute pro. His communication beforehand in arranging the correct parts was fantastic, and he very quickly managed to sort the issues and was very reasonable. A pleasure to deal with and a credit to Checkatrade!

Close coupled toilet leaking between cistern and pan

    Posted 14 October 2024

Plumber (Phil) arrived within an hour of my initial call. He was pleasant, clear about what he was doing, and happy for me to watch and question as he worked. We set the world to rights, and also the plumbing problem, within an hour. You could not ask for a more amenable and polite tradesman. He even seemed to appreciate the cup of tea I gave him! I can happily say that, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give him and his company 11. Mind you - I haven't seen the bill yet!!! (Only joking!)

    kitchen sink tap

    Posted 06 August 2024

Briefly: asked Network Trades Services, to fix (i)loose kitchen sink tap and (ii) a leak from the tap. I was quoted a total of £117.60. The company put a new tap (hot and cold) with cartridge. It did not work. His son brought another tap and fixed it. Both the taps cost approx £10 each, very cheap quality. He has given me all the reasons in the world that they are good quality. My thumb and index finger are sore because I have to really tighten the taps.; very unusual. Besides the top of the taps are sharp.

Response from Network Trades Services Limited

We are saddened that you have sent a low score. We tried our upmost to resolve your problems. Initially called to tighten your loose kitchen tap & either Replace it or just the cartridges with new heads as a cheaper option. You chose the cheaper option. You advised they dripped after a period of time. We returned & didn't find any signs of them working or dripping. Despite the cartridges & heads being in full working Order we replaced them for free. A few weeks later you sent a video of the taps dripping. We investigated at no charge. Once again they did not drip & were in full working order. We took photographs & videos to log this Even though there was nothing wrong with the taps we offered to install new taps free of charge which you declined.

    Leak under bath

    Posted 06 July 2024

Had leak under the bath just caught in time before damage to the flat below. The bath panel had to be removed & replaced which proved tricky and time-consuming as the basin and central heating panel were so close to the bath. Phil did an excellent job making minor adjustments to the panel so it looks perfect.
