I am an exceptionally reliable, trustworthy and professional handyman covering the West Dorset area.

I can be engaged on a one-time-only basis and also on an on-going basis where a property requires regular maintenance.

Handyman services include but not limited to:

Home Technology: Getting those gadgets and home tech working correctly. Computers, smartphones, Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, NEST, security cameras, Alexa, hardware, software, networking issues, access points, robotic mowers, video editing, website maintenance etc I have a Ph.D. in Quantum Computing so love tackling tech!

Plumbing: Basic day-to-day issues such as leaking taps, or under/overfilling cisterns, dripping basins, and leaking joints. Plumbing in washing machines etc.

Pointing & Mortar: Repairs and gap filling.

Gutters & Drainage: Clearing, repairing, and or installing including downpipes.

Woodwork & Fencing: Repairs to gate posts, and fencing/fence posts. Design and creation of functional devices (e.g. outside dog bath/shower with steps!). Window sill/door frame repairs

Furnishings: Putting up shelving, blinds, hanging pictures, mirrors, cabinets, curtain rails, etc. Fixing recliners and sofas. Assembling flat pack furniture.

Painting & Decorating: Inside, and outside including stripping wallpaper, woodchip paper, old built-in wardrobes etc.

Doors, Gates & Windows: Installing and adjusting doors, fixing and replacing locks/catches. Windowsill and/or door frame repairs.

Repair Shop: I have my own workshop which I use to repair client's devices on a collect and return basis. This keeps costs down as I can work on them in 'Background Mode'. I also repair vintage toys and devices and will be up front about the repairability of the item when I come to assess it. Treasured and cherished items are looked after with as much care and attention as if they were my own. I appreciate that many older items can hold precious sentimental value.

3D Printing: Creating customized and personalized devices to solve domestic problems e.g. shower racks for holding shampoo etc, Nespresso coffee capsule dispensers that fit perfectly in your kitchen cupboards, food can lids, freezer boxes, kitchen drawer organisers etc. I have over 100 designs that I have used in my own home which can readily be altered and printed to suit your needs.
