Michael and his son helped us plaster our Lounge and Study, both walls and ceilings. Michael was the highest quote, so we were expecting a premium result.
Two days in a row they left without telling me, so the garage door was still wide open. They didn't give me aftercare instructions so I had to Google how to care for plaster.
Result was very rough with trowel marks and imperfections. They got called back and sanded the plaster and used filler. Said it's a decorators job. Windows/patio-doors openings not level nor square.
Spoke to decorators and they said it's a lot of work to get it good.
Response from M R Bartlett
Thank you for your feedback.
We understand your disappointment with the plastering outcome.
* Departure: We left quietly while you were on a work call to avoid disruption. The garage door was left as found.
* Aftercare: We advised applying a miss-coat to the dry plaster, which is standard practice. We also recommended a decorator.
* Surface Finish: Plastering adds a thin layer and cannot correct significant imperfections. You declined plasterboarding, which we advised would not cause damp.
We strive for client satisfaction. We believe the work was completed professionally, but achieving your desired level of perfection may have been challenging given the existing wall conditions and your preference to avoid plasterboarding.
We appreciate your understanding."
