My ceiling needed a re skim as it had become textured by many coats of paint. So I used Checkatrade to find a local plasterer for this work. MJL got back to me quite promptly and I was able to send pictures of my ceiling to him and a reasonable quote was given which was well within budget. So I asked if he could paint the ceiling as well to maintain a good finish. Mark who is the owner and sole trader was punctual, efficient and hard working. He did a very good job of plastering and subsequent painting of the ceiling. He was very amicable and I would be happy to use his services again.

Mark has yet again proven to be the best choice for a tradesman! He goes above and beyond to get the job done and is cool and collected under pressure… Even when the customer treads through the newly installed plasterboard! 🤦🏻‍♂️ An absolute gentleman and a master of his craft! I’ve got another four rooms for him to plaster at some point in the coming months, and I’m already looking forward to having him back again 👍🏻

I am very pleased with the rendering and painting that MJL Plastering completed for me. Mark is polite and reliable. He kept me informed throughout the job. The job completed as scheduled and the quality of the work is excellent. I would be happy to hire MJL again.

We've used Mark a number of times for plastering, but this time we took him on to work on our soffits, facias and guttering. I had 7 or 8 tradespeople out previously to look at the job, and near enough all of them told us to rip out the wooden facias on our victorian home and replace with PVC. Mark was the only one who was keen to sand and pain the existing wooden ones, plus he didn't insist on extortionate scaffolding. He's a hard grafter who gets the job done!

Mark helped us with some plastering,boarding and painting for a bathroom where we had constant mould issues. He was helpful providing solutions as we had to adapt our initial plans. Following this we asked that he help with some additional painting. He was always happy to help, adaptable and flexible when things needed to change. He was always on time and fair with his pricing. We have asked him to help us with more work.
