    External house painting and decorating.

    Having seen the excellent work Mick had carried out on our neighbours house, we asked Mick to paint all the external woodwork on our property. Mick’s quote was competitive and reasonable. He is a thorough and professional worker with old school values. He is his harshest critic, often picking up and correcting mistakes we would have missed - and putting right poor workmanship from decorating undertaken by previous contractors. Overall we have been more than satisfied with the product and would happily recommend him to others.

    Quality decorator

    We have used Mick Vass for decorating our home for the last 20 years. He has wallpapered our hall stairs and landing twice in that time. Repaired and redecorated our walls after our new double glazing was fitted. Mick is a perfectionist, so if you use him, do not expect him to finish unless he is happy with his work..

    Outstanding service and quality

    I needed a small job doing at very short notice and Mick was recommended to me. Fortunately Mick had a space the following week so met me at the property to provide a quote the same day. The job was carried out quickly, efficiently and to a high standard. Communication was easy and all arrangements went very smoothly. I would not hesitate to engage M J Decorating again and can highly recommend their work.

    Outside decorating.

    Mick came & quoted within an hour of contacting him. As it was an outside job, he came once the weather improved. Completed over a period of two days. Professional, friendly & a delight to have in your home. No mess or inconvenience. My-to-decorator.

Welcome to M J Decorating Services we are a reliable and professional, Painting and Decorating service in the Basingstoke area - we always answer the phone!

We have 46 years’ experience within the decorating trade, alongside this we are college trained and fully insured. We carry out domestic and commercial contracts, all interior and exterior painting carried out – Heights are no problem!

We can hang all kinds of wallcoverings from everyday lining paper to hand printed design also 52-inch-wide vinyl’s to Lincrusta papers. We keep our customers fully informed whilst carrying out the decorating contract, if needed we can also advise on colour and design.

We can also do small carpentry jobs, the services in which we cover are:

  • Laminate flooring
  • Skirting
  • Dado Rails
  • Hanging of interior doors
  • Architraves
  • Door stops
  • Artexing of cellings.
