  Goes the extra mile

  Mike went above and beyond to refurb two bathrooms. My house is old and needed re-tiling and plastering to help deal with a damp issue. Also many of the walls and ceiling are no longer fully level or square. Mike took on a fiddly job, did an absolutely top-notch job and was cheerful and friendly throughout. I was consulted on every decision, made aware of any unexpected developments when they occurred and guided through a selection of options when a choice needed to be made. 10/10 would highly recommend.

  Can't recommend highly enough

  I can't recommend MCS highly enough. Mike and Martin completed a renovation of our existing loft room including, but not limited to, removing an old lathe and plaster ceiling, old stud walls, old timbers and even an unexpected metal water tank! The room was completely gutted, insulated, plastered and finished. They have transformed the space for us! Throughout the process I cannot fault their politeness, cleanliness, punctuality or communication. I was dreading the disruption, but they were a joy to have in the house.

  I cannot recommend Mike more highly enough. He is a true professional and a dream to work with being a great communicator, extremely accommodating and helpful, very reliable and true to his work plus tidy and always respectful. I have renovated a number of properties before on the mainland but this was my first on the IOW so I had never worked with any trades here. Mike recommended an excellent plumber and electrician and co-ordinated the installation of these services alongside his work. His quote was fair but his work was to a very high standard. Don't bother to search for anyone else!

  Kitchen & Dining Room Refurbishment

  A number of key factors made our project a resounding success in our eyes and kept our stress levels low: 1. Mike always turned up when he said he would and always let us know if his schedule would vary. 2. When there were the inevitable odd issues, Mike would always talk them through and make sure that we agreed a way forward that satisfied us. 3. The working day always ended with a tidying up session. 4. Mike is easy to get along with, which made his presence in our home a pleasure. 5. We very quickly formed a trust based working relationship with Mike and were delighted with the results.

  Re-design of Kitchen (including removal of wall and ceiling)

  Mike undertook the project management and work to completely renovate and install our kitchen. A wall and ceiling was removed plus an old lath and plaster wall renewed with plaster board . A new floor was installed with sound insulation, a door was blocked up and a new door was hung. He kept us informed every step of the way including sending photos. His communication was speedy and excellent. The team including the plumber, electrician, decorator and waste disposal were super and everyone did a fabulous job. We are more than thrilled with the work and the new kitchen. Thanks to all.

  Kitchen refit

  I discovered MCS renovations on check a trade - after reading reviews I made contact to speak to a polite and courteous man named Mike. We discussed a kitchen and ceiling refit and arranged a visit to my home to take measurements. Mike provided constructive advice and guidance in a polite and professional manner carefully listening to what I wanted to achieve. The service and communication - time keeping was outstanding. He went above and beyond to achieve my set goals with results being just as I had hoped for. All throughout a very professional service.
