I first had contact with ‘M Cook & Son’ as roofing contractors 24 years ago, and on two later occasions. Now 2026, the roof on my house finally needed to be replaced and it is a new generation with Peter Cook and his three sons, who came to the rescue. This family team solved a particular issue with my house roof, worked diligently with good humour and camaraderie, and were a pleasure to deal with, including Alison at the helm of the office. Trustworthy roofing business!

These roofers came highly recommended & we were not disappointed. Communication was excellent, proposed work was explained to us & any questions we had were answered quickly and thoroughly. This is a well established family firm - the three sons worked on the job, supervised by their father. The work was also overseen by the Building Controller at the Local Authority, which not all the quotes we received for the work factored this in. The benefit of this was a certificate at the end to confirm work was carried out satisfactorily. Work was completed on time. Would thoroughly recommend.

Direct contact 10 mins after the job was posted and spoke to a lovely lady who organised an inspection the same day in the afternoon. The gentleman was kind and very considerate and provided us with some really helpful feedback for the 20 or so mins it took. We can certainly reccomend these folks for any roofing jobs locally!

He was transparent, explained everything clearly, and kept us informed throughout. Friendly, reliable, and clearly takes pride in his work. The whole process was smooth and well managed.
