    What a difference

    Posted 06 February

Really happy with the results. Has made a huge difference to the front of the house. No sales talk, got the style/colour I was wanted and Connor explained everything well.

    Sub standard

    Posted 05 February

Unfortunately, the work carried out was substandard. I had to call out a joiner to fix the window. The window was fitted to rotten timbers. The window sill was fitted at an angle, and the top part of the window surround sagged, exposing insulation. They promise so much; however, in my experience, the promises have not come true.

We told you to get a joiner to come out after 6 or 7 layers of broken asbestos was found inside the wall where the window was going. This had led to the wood being rotten and no where to fix the window to properly and no support for the plasterboard. We explained to you how we can fix it in place but reiterated a joiner needs to come and build a new frame. We didnt charge the extra time we waited on site for the asbestos chap to arrive and we made sure the window was sealed appropriately as we didnt know if you would have a joiner out the next day or in weeks. We feel we went above and beyond

    Poor communication

    Posted 30 November 2025

Initial impression very good, relaxed and informative when measuring up. However, felt the fitters rushed the job due to a delay on the first day and were careless. This resulted in a chip to the door which we still waiting a satisfactory repair to. The fitters also didn't complete all jobs and communication was extremely poor. Not holding out much hope for guarantee.

    McFarlane Homes

Would recommend this company,I required a gate at the side of my house where a fence already existed, and McFarlane homes carried out this work using the fence that was already in place and modified it to a gate using new ironmongery and some new timber.delighted with the work.

    Windows seals

    Posted 07 October 2025

The service was very good and they were quick to organise to come carry out the work. It's a shame the job could not be completed due to the roughcasting issues we have with the building. The team was very honest and friendly. Highly recommend.

Conservatory good, poor communication and aftercare lets company down

    Posted 03 October 2025

One year on from ordering our conservatory. Initially told that the build might be end of the year/early into the following year. By February, we started to get concerned, thankfully it went ahead in April. One of the window handles was broken and could not be fitted, house not fully secure. I chased & chased, 5 months on we had to admit to ourselves that the job was not going to be completed and sourced new handles ourselves to match a set. I have requested our warranty but I am now being ghosted. We also ordered a Velux - never been supplied. Disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. Whilst the delay in installation was frustrating, we can see clear email and messaging of this being communicated. On installation, the supplier sent the wrong handle, it broken, just a left hand instead of a right. A replacement was ordered but these were on back order which was communicated. One arrived but was the wrong colour and you opted to not have it fitted and wait for the right colour. The handle was for a small hopper window and does not impact the security. We also fitted an external door so the house security was not affected. The Velux was cancelled
