Response from Mcfarlane Homes Ltd
We told you to get a joiner to come out after 6 or 7 layers of broken asbestos was found inside the wall where the window was going. This had led to the wood being rotten and no where to fix the window to properly and no support for the plasterboard. We explained to you how we can fix it in place but reiterated a joiner needs to come and build a new frame. We didnt charge the extra time we waited on site for the asbestos chap to arrive and we made sure the window was sealed appropriately as we didnt know if you would have a joiner out the next day or in weeks. We feel we went above and beyond
