  Failed to do the job and didn't le me know

  Ian came to my home and gave me a quote for the work, which I accepted. We arranged a date for the work to start in a few weeks. The night before I contacted him to confirm and he said that he has had to go to London as his father was unwell and won't be coming. I said that of course that wasn't a problem and he replied that he would be in touch when he was back in Southampton. That was over a month ago now and I've heard nothing. I see that he has completed jobs since then so I can only assume that he was offered a better paid job and and didn't have the decency to let me know.

  Whole house painted

  My friend recommended Ian to me, and surely I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends. From the start of the process Ian was a pleasure to liase with, he arrived promptly to give a quote and finished well within the agreed time. He worked considerately and conscientiously throughout the days. There was never any mess at the end of the day and the quality of his workmanship is outstanding. What I appreciate is the text he sent me everyday, informing the progress and plans. He is a true gentleman, hard worker and perfectionist when it comes to ensuring a high quality.

  Redecorating bedroom, fix small hole in ceiling, fix toilets

  Joe and Tony did an excellent job redecorating my bedroom, wallpapering one wall, carried out a small repair to the ceiling and fixed the plumbing problem with the toilet. They arrived on time each day, left the room tidy at the end of each day and were very polite, professional and thorough. Would definitely use them again.

  Painting complete exterior of largeish house

  They responded immediately to our enquiry and turned up on time to do the survey. Their quote was clear, detailed and competitive. They turned up to do the job on exactly the date promised. Their staff were very competent, likeable, helpful and were very pleasant to deal with. The job was completed as planned and to a high standard. Highly recommended.

  Redecorated Bathroom

  I hired Mayo & Son to redecorate my newly fitted bathroom. This not only included previously painted walls, but several sections of untreated new plaster, ceiling, door and skirting. Ian Mayo came out to look over the project and provide me with a quotation and agree a start date, confirmed the job by email and again 2 days before work commenced. The 2 young men who completed the job were polite, knowledgeable and very hardworking and the final result was excellent. I would not hesitate to use them again myself and very happy to recommend them to others. 5 star service!
