  Repairing and securing floorboards

  Lots of damaged and creaking floorboards in my 1930s house. Matt booked me in to repair them within the week. He showed up on time, was open and honest and pricing up front, completed the job quickly and provided lots of photos and videos whilst the work was being carried out. The best bit though is that the standard of his work is very high. He retained and repaired far more floorboards than I thought would be possible without replacement. The floor and staircase is now solid and quiet! Really pleased and have him booked in to hang our internal doors. Thank you!

  Skirting Replacement

  Matt replaced all the skirting & architrave in our kitchen. Great communication from start to finish & went the extra mile replacing the skirting in utility as it didn’t match the new skirting in the kitchen. Would whole heartedly recommend Matt & will definitely have him back for any future work.

  Excellent bespoke service

  Matt came back after hanging a bathroom door for me to help me with a non function ing stable door that was badly installed by a previous carpenter..I never though it could be fixed and I was into buying a new door etc..but no genius Matt had a think...came up with a solution and did an amazing job..I am now proudly using the stable door as per the original intention! Thank you Matt!!!

  Repair of 6 dining chairs

  Kept to appointments. Gave a reasonable quote and kept to it. The repairs were much better than expected and I felt I was dealing with a true craftsman.

  Excellent job. Spoke on telephone first. He came out on time to see the job on time Turned up on time the next day to carry out the repair. Very well equipped with everything to do the work. Extremely professional in his approach It was a real pleasure to watch for a short while to see a real craftsman at work An extremely pleasant and caring craftsmen.

  Unique object fix.

  It has been a 5 star service from start to finish. Amazing communication at every step of the way. A solution found quickly, to a unique object that has been damaged and is much loved. The work was carried out as fast and the quality of the work out standing. I can’t recommend Matthias Mac Designs highly enough!
