Mark and Steve have just completed building a new brick wall for our front garden, they worked well over the past week, dealing with rain and two days of power cuts, which, with the help of our good neighbours they managed to carry on. The quality of their work is excellent, measuring and rechecking as they went, the result speaks for itself. We are really happy with the outcome and pleased to be able to recommend Matthews Brickwork for any building projects that you have.

Mark rebuilt our front wall, leveled the front garden and replaced a nasty crazy-paving drive with permeable blocks, including an area of red/black tiles to be in keeping with our Victorian house. Throughout the work, Mark kept me informed of progress/plans and checked that we were aligned on any details not covered by the written quote. Overall, the work was completed for the quoted price. The site was left clean and tidy each day. Most importantly, the end result was excellent, with first-class attention to detail and very much in keeping with the house.

Mark has done a fantastic job of repairing the window arches and other damaged / weathered bricks - all in keeping with our period property. We did not hesitate to hire Mark after seeing some of the other high quality brickwork (blended to the Victorian / Edwardian features) he had completed on neighbouring homes.

Mark first spent a lot time making sure that the right materials were chosen, including reusing some of the original bricks. He discussed how they would carry out the work, listened to my comments and made suggestions. He and Steve did an amazing job rebuilding my wall, taking great care to restore the original structure and details. They worked steadily and thoroughly, always clearing up each day before they went home. It was a challenging job so I am delighted with the result. So many neighbours have stopped to admire it and asked who did the work. I can really recommend Matthews Brickwork.
