    Quick response to our ad and all communication was fast and polite. They turned up exactly when they said they would (actually slightly early, which is rare...) and completed the painting work quickly and to a high standard. My son is so pleased that he is already planning the next job for them to. Highly recommended.

    Hamzeh was very professional and took time to meticulously prep the work areas before beginning his work. We had a difficult dark green colour in the kitchen and he did a fantastic job of making it feel brighter in just one day. I would definitely be using him again for future decorating.

    Reliable and hardworking

    Responded quickly to my request for some painting work, came over to view and quote within a couple of days and then got started the week after. Very easy to deal with and reliable. I was impressed with how much Hamzeh got done in the two days. There were a few issues with the finish (as the second day was potentially a bit of a rush), but when I raised them Hamzeh immediately replied to sort a time to come back and fix them a couple of days later, so all sorted.

Who I Am

Hi, I’m Hamzeh, the founder of Mahonia Decor.


I’ve been working in the painting and decorating trade for over 15 years.


I usually work independently, but I also collaborate with a reliable network of tradespeople when needed for larger projects.


I hold a Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating from Building College, a Specialist Certificate in Interior Design and Decoration from OBU, and I’m fully certified with CITB and a Professional CSCS card, ensuring safety, compliance, and industry-standard work.


What I enjoy most about my job is seeing the transformation in a home — using colour, creativity, and care to bring a space to life.
