Phoned at 5.30pm when key became stuck in lock. Called back quickly by someone taking the job, who gave me a rough idea of prices and likelihood of needed lock replaced. They said just over an hour. It was slightly longer, but they had already specified they were finishing a job before they came to me. When they arrived, gave clear prices and options. Was knowledgeable. I went ahead with the work and they were quick and efficient, talking through the process as they went. They left a set of 5 keys for the new lock, so enough for everybody (no rushing to get keys cut the next day)

The locksmith no showed on my job. He sent my calls to voicemail and had not advised he would be late, or would not turn up He called me 40 minutes, after the agreed meet time, to advise he was at the property. I wasn't and I wasn't going to drive all the way back to the property. He advised he was late because he had an emergency lockout job to do (Aka, a job that was paying more money). The least he could do was pick up my call, and let me know he would be late/not able to do my job, so I wouldn't be left at the property like a lemon for 30 minutes. Do better.

I needed a handle changed. The communication was clear, the quote was reasonable and the work carried out quickly and reliably.

Arrived on time with tools in hand (although we hadn't agreed a price and that he would do the job). When asked for price, he said there was a call-out charge (which I hadn't expected), cost of the lock and his time plus VAT. Price was a lot more than I expected (over £200) but as there was a call-out charge, it didn't seem worth him not doing the job. Lock changed OK. I got the impression I was his only job that day so he had to make his money on it. All in all, felt I was taken for a ride, but job was done satisfactorily.
