    Fancy website but useless service.

    I had no heating or hot water & got this company round Jan 6th. Bloke here for 2.5+ hours & spent a lot of time on his phone asking questions, which worried me. Identified a problem but said I'd need a proper diagnosis to fix it. Next appointment was 19 Jan, with no heating or hot water so I tried someone else. He identified and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. I complained to Lloyd Hallowell and they were dismissive, claiming the new guy benefitted from their work. I checked with the new guy who didn't understand why Hallowell didn't fix it, given how long they'd been here. Waste of money.

    Our visit on 6 January was booked and quoted solely as a fault-finding visit, not a repair. Our electrician remained on site until nearly 8pm, having started work at 7am, and successfully identified the fault as a loose neutral conductor, most likely located in the kitchen area. A separate visit was required to carry out repairs, however we did not have next-day availability. You chose to appoint another electrician, who resolved the issue using the diagnosis already provided. The charge relates only to the diagnostic work carried out, which was completed exactly as quoted. Lloyd

    Fitting an under-cupboard Spotlight

    Lloyd and Nathan were excellent. Lloyd visited first and could not complete the job as I had ordered the wrong replacement light. He helped identify the correct light for me to order and did not charge for this visit. He arranged for Nathan to return when I had the right part. This he did. They were both punctual on both visits. They were really helpful and efficient. Highly recommend.

    To fit under-cupboard light. He could not do it as I had the wrong light.

    Lloyd was unable to fit the light I had bought as it was the wrong type. He helped me find the right one online and I have re-arranged a time for him to return to fit the correct one. Lloyd was great and did not charge me any call out fee as he was unable to complete the job. I thought that was great customer service. I’d highly recommend him.

    Light fittings / replacement

    Gear experience, Nathan was an absolute pro. Arrived early, did a quick brief on the job to manage our expectations and did everything to a very high standard. Great to see someone with pride in their craft.
