I had no heating or hot water & got this company round Jan 6th. Bloke here for 2.5+ hours & spent a lot of time on his phone asking questions, which worried me. Identified a problem but said I'd need a proper diagnosis to fix it. Next appointment was 19 Jan, with no heating or hot water so I tried someone else. He identified and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. I complained to Lloyd Hallowell and they were dismissive, claiming the new guy benefitted from their work. I checked with the new guy who didn't understand why Hallowell didn't fix it, given how long they'd been here. Waste of money.

Our visit on 6 January was booked and quoted solely as a fault-finding visit, not a repair. Our electrician remained on site until nearly 8pm, having started work at 7am, and successfully identified the fault as a loose neutral conductor, most likely located in the kitchen area.
A separate visit was required to carry out repairs, however we did not have next-day availability. You chose to appoint another electrician, who resolved the issue using the diagnosis already provided. The charge relates only to the diagnostic work carried out, which was completed exactly as quoted.
