Work was done promptly, courteously and to an acceptable standard

Jim and team did a fantastic job. They repaired the roof of our listed building to high quality level including appropriate materials and methods like lead. They were very professional at all times and tidied up throughout after themselves.

Always comes when expected and charges the amunt quoted for a well carried out job. Also very personable.

August 2024 My Mother had a stain appear on her bedroom ceiling, and was recommended to Lake and Brown by a neighbour who was using them to work on his roof at the time. Jim came to take a look and found that there was a roof leak causing the problem. He was very quick coming to respond, giving her a quote and coming to do the re-roofing job. At all times the workmen and the office were very polite and efficient, keeping her informed and coming to do do the work when they said they would. She was extremely happy with their work and would definitely have no hesitation in recommending them.

I used work in Godalming, I could see Lake and Brown did most of the local work. When it came to replacing the roof on our Edwardian semi-detached house, they were the logical choice. We were not disappointed. I would highly recommend them.

We asked Jim to help repair a leaking chimney and repoint, re do flanching, storm dry and recap chimney (and reconnect flue), and replace tile damage on roof. The support in advance from Claire in the office and the communication, professionalism and advice from Jim on site was excellent. Throughout the different stages we know what was going on and to expect and Jim managed our expectations with any issues that arose. I'd highly recommend this company to others.
