Despite promises a colour book was never provided. Finally a chart was brought, for a decision in 48 sunless hours. After several trips to purchase multiple testers, to meet the deadline I was rushed into choosing a colour I had used before. The colour supplied is wrong. I explained this politely but they flatly refused to look into how it had happened or even acknowledge the problem, instead sending confrontational angry, irrelevant emails. There has been no interest or constructive engagement whatsoever. Appalling attitude for any business owner.

I am sorry that you are no longer happy with the colour. I’d just like to mention that there were 7 months between when I quoted the work, and the start date. You still hadn’t picked a colour by two days before I was due to start, so I felt it important to ask for your decision. You did agree to my terms and conditions that state there may be a difference in paint colour, when mixing up a chosen colour not from our trade colour book. Upon completion of the job, you said to me that you were happy with all of the work, and so paid my invoice in full that very same day. However, it was about 5 days later that you contacted me to say you were no longer happy with the colour and you expected me to repaint it, free of charge. I truly believe I was not angry or confrontational in my emails, but simply stating I would not be able to repaint the whole job for free. It is possible the context was misinterpreted.
