  Completed Kitchen install

  J Watt Carpentry (JWC) made me realise that there are still some hard working honest and reliable tradespeople out there. Very transparent and professional service. Above and beyond the norm and the finish is outstanding. I have recommended JWC to my family and close circle knowing that JWC will live up to my word. Really a breath of fresh air in an industry full of unprofessionals.

  Designed and built a large Shaker style shelved cabinet

  James did a brilliant job designing and building a large cabinet to fit into a specific and slightly awkward space. I now have an immaculate, very sturdy cupboard- exactly what I wanted. He worked tidily, always clearing up after himself and is very friendly and helpful. Reliable, trustworthy and skilled. I highly recommend.

  Top of stairs removal of broken boards and replacement

  Jim did a great job for us. He turned up when he said he would to look at what needed to be done. Then came on time and did the job in question quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price. This was the first of three jobs he is doing for us and we are happy to recommend him. He is an affable man who does what he says he will do at the time when he says he will do it.

  Kitchen fitting

  Having never had a kitchen refurbishment before, I was a nervous client and had many questions about the process. J Watt Carpentry were completely reassuring, helping me and advising me every step of way. The team are friendly, hardworking, reliable, knowledgable, have an impressive attention to detail and are tidy workers (I told them mess bothered me!). Any days that I was unable to catch up with them in person, I received messages updating me on the progress. The end result is the kitchen of my dreams. I can’t recommend them enough.

  Bespoke Desk & Wall Panelling

  I hired James to build a bespoke desk for my study and install panelling in three rooms, and I’m really happy with the results. He took my Pinterest vision for the desk and brought it to life while also fitting the panelling perfectly in each room. He made the process seamless, organising other contractors where needed, and kept everything tidy. He was very patient when I couldn't make my mind up on paint colours! A lovely guy to have around with incredible attention to detail - would highly recommend.

  Oak stair parts and glass

  James and his team arrived on the day they promised and started work promptly. I was extremely impressed with them from the moment they got here as they put down protection on the floors. The work was completed in the time frame I was told before hand and the oak handrail looks absolutely stunning! Completely changes the appearance of my house. I have had multiple tradesmen do work for me and not once have I had someone who pays so much attention to every detail. From planning, designing and completion he was nothing but stellar. I am now planning on having James do my loft stairs next.
