  Justin has done a number of bricklaying jobs for us in the past and has always been a pleasure to work with and a very experienced bricklayer, very clean tidy and quality , we will always use him for future projects.

  Avoid at all costs

  So this asks for my experience which I am happy to share.to save people the heartache and money. I had a small extension done by Justin, to cut a long story short, the walls are out of level and plumb as are the openings for the window and door. The standard of work is shocking and not what I expected. I have now had to employ another builder to knock down the work and re-build it to ensure it meets building regs resulting in additional costs and a loss of faith. Do your homework people, save your money and the added stress.

  Hi Brian, thank you for your review. We’re sorry you’re unhappy and wish to clarify the situation. The extension was completed 7 weeks ago and, once concerns were raised, we repeatedly offered to return, inspect, and rectify issues, including arranging an independent RICS surveyor, but were not given the opportunity. Reclaimed bricks naturally vary, so small deviations are expected. The pointing shown is minor and the height issue was already scheduled for correction due to changes from architect . Concerns were raised only after another builder became involved. I’m in touch with legal team.

  Professional and affordable

  Justin and Lee were brilliant, and professional at all times. They build us a brand new wall around our front garden and driveway. They listened to what we wanted and we are so happy with the result

  Great experience!!

  Justin and his team were brilliant! His extensive knowledge, experience and positive attitude made a difficult and daunting project a breeze! When a potential problem arose, Justin came up with solutions, without the usual head scratching and excuses you get from a lot of tradesmen these days! I was so impressed with his work, I got him back to fit the steelwork too! I can’t recommend JH Brickwork enough, and hopefully he’s not too busy to carry out more work for me in the new year.
