Work standard: very high; Financial situation: forever asking for more money

I requested a fencing contractor to replace the outside fencing of my duck run (quite a large area) with below-ground fencing/mesh to stop foxes. J Evans replied and gave me an estimate of £11,400. The work is to a high standard and I am very pleased. However, I was told that more wood was required, £9000 had been spent on wood (?), and the bill would now be £19,000 due to extra work they had to carry out, which I refused to pay. I said I would pay £12,500, but was told I had to pay at least another £3,000, which I also refused. I am now left with a job that is 90% done.

Replaced fence panels with close board fencing

From the outset James was polite and courteous. All work carried out was to a high standard and they even finished earlier than anticipated. Despite some heavy downpours making the clean up pretty difficult they did a good job and all waste was removed. I would happily use James and his team again.

Garden fencing replacement

Highly recommended and very competitively priced. They replaced our back and side garden fencing and access gate. Worked through blistering heat, digging out new settings for posts in 32 degree heat. Got the job done in good time, removed old fencing, fitted new gate and tidied up afterwards. Looks great. Awesome service.

Replacement of Fence Posts

James contacted me almost immediately after I posted the work on checkatrade. His communication was and has been first class regarding timings to visit and booking in of the job. He has done a stirling job today in the 30+ degree heat, and the work is perfect - so neat and tidy and all debris has been taken away. I wouldn't hesitate in using James and his colleague again - top notch 10/10.

My garden was completely re landscaped; patio and path, new turf laid and a couple of raised beds. The work was done to an excellent standard and was all completed without delay. Communication was excellent as James checked in with me daily to discuss next steps.
